The Story
Our story begins on Kaching Island, where many animal and human type residents reside peacefully. This island just so happens to be the home of Nancy Bombs, an easily-irritated and selfish girl who will do ANYTHING to make a few bucks. So, Nancy's just hanging out in her tropical island crib (she'd be watching TV, but that requires electricity, which she doesn't have. Bills are for FOOLS), when all of a sudden, a piece of paper goes flying into her house and smacks her in the face. Nancy peels it off her face. "What're people donig throwing PAPER all aroud?" she mutters to herself, "Hmm... what's this..." After further investigation, she sees it's a WANTED POSTER for an old man named Professor Zany Shenannigans with the words BIG REWARD down at the bottom. Nancy didn't have to think twice. "Ol' Man! YO! OL' MAN GROUNDHOG!" she calls out. Ol' Man Groundhog, an old man groundhog (obviously) pops out next to her house and yawns. "Whuh... whuzzah?" he groggily says as eh waddles into Nancy's doorway, just to be bowled over by her. Nancy explains the situation and they both go over to Kaching Isle docks. Here, they meet Boatman Bill the platypus, runner of the boats. "DUHR um... tuh- ten coinsh plz" Bill managed to make out to them. On a place called Kaching Isle, you bet there'd be some manipulative people.
SO THIS IS WHERE THE TUTORIAL LEVEL BEGINS: Ol' Man Groundhog leads you throughout the island (really small, so), where you learn your moves by doing tasks for the other villagers. Here Nancy's taught the basics like jumping, double jumping, attacking, etc. and each villager pays her 2 coins each. SO AFTER THEY GET 10 COINS, Nancy hops in the boat, but Ol' Man stays on land. "I'm not the adventurin' type" he says as he scurries into Nancy's house to mooch off her food. Nancy shrugs as Bill brings her to the other island...
